YouTube Theater: Batman Sings!

Here's a new feature that I've come up with to share some of my favorite YouTube videos.

My daughter Nikki loves superheroes, especially Batman and Spider-Man, and lately she's been obsessed with a certain episode of "Batman: Brave and the Bold", Mayhem of the Music Meister! Starring the voice talents of Neil Patrick Harris. Enjoy.

And on a related note (hehe, note), here's one of my favorite moments from JLU.

  1. Hey, do you think we could arrange for a child exchange for a weekend or two? Nikki and I could hang out and watch nonstop superhero cartoons, and you and Taryn can, I dunno, read books or something. Or, if you have a working printer, Jenna can print out her poetry all day.

  2. Did Koontz write the Percy Jackson series? :)

Get Nikki hooked on Super-hero video games and we will *have* to hang out sometime.

  3. Never did get into the B&B series. Didn't care for the tone or the animation style. Batman is always kind of a tough sell to me anyway. He's a super hero who's not super, fighting his own gallery of villains that could easily be swapped for Dick Tracy's villains.

Do you and Nik like Spectacular Spider-Man? Again, I didn't care for the animation style, but the action, pacing, and writing are top-notch. SS-M is headed by Greg wassisname, the Gargoyles guy.

  4. I like B&B. It's definately a more kid friendly take on the character, but it's fun. I know a lot of Batman fans feel like he has to be dark all the time, but a little camp never hurt anyone. They even make fun of themselves a little with the Bat-Mite episode that they did. And it's fun to hear Oswald from the Drew Carey show as Batman.

Nikki was into SS-M for a while. I liked it, but I didn't really watch it regularly.
